Description: N-Propyl acetate is produced by esterification of n-propanol and acetic acid, serving as an effective medium-boiling solvent (bp 102°C) with mild ester-like odor. It is widely used in coatings, inks and adhesive formulations where slower evaporation than ethyl acetate is required, providing better flow and leveling properties. The solvent demonstrates excellent compatibility with nitrocellulose, acrylic resins and most synthetic rubbers.
